YOLO

One of the beautiful moment is when we meet people by accident and talk and say goodbye.
This unexpected dialogue make us get excited with diverse emotions and happy in the end as we could feel that “people are nice”.

“Yolo (You Only Live Once)” is a mobile application which will provide people who are having their time alone a chance to meet other people to share a conversation within a public space, for example within an airport, train station, a gym and the cafe especially in situation where people would need to wait, travel alone and have spare time but nothing to do.

Thanks for the existing technologies, we can meet new people globally via diverse social networking services, however ironically,  people are becoming antisocial due to rapid uses of their devices. You can see hundreds of hunchbacks with iphones not only at the Notre Dame but at everywhere and there is no interaction with each others in person. Their facebook friends might help them to be in a relationship, however that doesn’t mean they can understand how wonderful it is to share the moment with new friends face to face.
Imagine you are in the Brussel station as a traveller. You have 3 hours to wait for the next train and probably start to check your email and facebook or read a book which actually you can do in your bed. On the other hands, even though you want to talk to other people but still you will find it hard to understand whether or not people want to spend time with you in a public space because their willingness is invisible.
Yolo will visualise the ‘invisible sociability'  and make connection with people in a space just for now so it will be a first touch point for you to discover the exciting world.
